Hallo zusammen

Nicolas

Update:

Studer Expansion Heralds New Appointment

Juergen Bopst has been appointed to the new post of General Manager, Studer.

Following the formation of the new sales team for Soundcraft - a designer and manufacturer of audio mixing consoles - and Studer - a manufacturer of equipment and systems for TV and radio broadcast, recording and production studios - last July, headed up by Bruno Hochstrasser, the next phase of Studer's expansion is now in place with the appointment of Juergen Bopst to the new post of General Manager, Studer, based in Regensdorf and reporting directly to Andy Trott, President of Soundcraft and Studer.

This expansion of the management team follows the increased success that Studer has enjoyed over the past two years with record sales of the flagship Vista digital live broadcast consoles (as well as the introduction of Studer's first ever Touring model - the Vista 5 SR - already on tour with Rascal Flatts, Celine Dion and Katie Melua), plus, most recently, the expansion of its' radio console line with the brand new OnAir 2500 launched in Europe at the AES show in Amsterdam.

According to Soundcraft and Studer President Andy Trott: "Last July Bruno agreed to take on two very demanding roles, those being Executive Vice President of Sales for Soundcraft and Studer and heading up the Studer business as President until we were in a position to recruit the right GM.

"It's great news that we can now announce Juergen Bopst as the new General Manager for Studer. This is a pivotal role that is designed to further expand the Studer business by enabling Bruno to focus exclusively on his passion - our customers."

Added Trott: "I have to thank and congratulate Bruno for handling two incredibly challenging roles for us during this transition. We've gone through a period of extensive change and Bruno has helped manage us to even greater success as a direct result of his experienced leadership, he is our best ambassador and deserves special praise - especially this year - as after 37 years service to the company, his 60th coincides with Studer's 60th birthday - he was even born the same month as the Studer business - what a great partnership!"

Hochstrasser commented: "This is a wonderful company with wonderful people. Back in the 80s we reinvented ourselves when the recording industry started to change and our (then) leading tape machines had a limited future - then we became a mixing console company. Now we're the largest digital live-broadcast console supplier, I look back on our past with immense pride and our future with equal excitement."

Continued Andy Trott: "Juergen joins us with a fine pedigree of senior management positions served at companies including: ITT, Dover and Vishay.

He is experienced in a number of key manufacturing methodologies including lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques as well as accounting, SCM and hi-tech plant management and holds a Masters in Administration Sciences."
