Telefunken M15A problem....

Hi,

After M15A (3310) is started, the motor rotates, but there is no audio output. It needs to be turned on and off several times before there is audio output.

After there is sound, the playback and recording performance in 38/S is perfect.

But only 19/S only L channel is normal, R channel sound is very small, but switch MONO/stereo switch, R channel returns to normal. I suspect this is related to the above problem, but I don't know where it is.

In addition, if I swap the left and right playing cards, there will be no sound output. The numbers of my two sound cards are different. One is WV1 and the other is WV11. Initially, WV1 is inserted in position 1. It was normal before I swapped the positions of WV1 and WV11.

Q, where should I check? It seems that everything takes only one step.

Please test all Voltages in the M15A.

Think; the Machine is over 40 Years old und needs Service!

VW1 or WV11 is'nt the Problem, look at the little Card (Mono-Stereo-switch) on Board of the WV-Circuit.

It has only two problems. In 19/S, it only has mono, and the power switch needs to be turned on and off many times before the sound is output. I think you have pointed out the specific problem, but I still don't understand the power supply part.

Your Machine needs Service!

The Power-Switch works - or no without Failure.

One of your Audiocards needs Service incl. Powersupply.

You have all Tools, Manual and Engineering?

your M15A has a Option; Mono-Stereo-Switch.

On Board of the WV-Card is a small Card for Options, look at "WMC / WNC" Card.

Look at Manual please and look at the WV-Card.

I measured the Mini card with a multimeter and it seems that there is no problem.
My audio card model is different, one is WV1 and the other is WV11,
Their small card notes are all A, do I need a jumper, I hope I can find another WV11.
One channel has a very low sound, not without any sound.

On the Card i see very old (brown) Kondensers, make Service please!

Last Years she is running with this Cards (WV1 + WV11)?

This Cards are compatibility.

Cut the little Switch-Card for Mono/Stereo and test with Bridges, look at your 2nd Card and in your Manual.

Now, the Audio-Cards need exact 35V, test it please and look at the Manual for Service!

All my Audiocards are sold, one brand new AV-1 Card i have.

I still haven't fixed it. I think it is the power supply part of the playback card. Unfortunately, I am not that professional. I don't know where the playback card is responsible for the power supply. I replaced a resistor and transistor on the stereo switch, but to no avail. It seems that it only needs one step, and now there is no sound in both channels.

35V are correkt?

Take the Machine in professional Hands.

Online i don't helps you, send the Cards to technical-Offices by Mr. Hilpert or Mr. Schleicher!

Hi Rudy,
professional technician to fix the power supply part. The reason was that a capacitor on the SL11 failed. Now it turns on normally, but the stereo is still not restored at 19 speed. One of the cards has a very small sound, but the problem is not the small card. I can only record and play at 38 speed, but I found a new problem. The large motor on the right is relatively hot and the temperature of the motor on the left is normal.
