Hi Paolo,
If the head-group is absent, the software could set the tension-regulation inactive - I am not an insider of the control-sw of the M21 - but this happens on other modern (mainly software controled) machines.

Please install a head-block (or dummy) and try again ... if this is not "causa"???

M21 has Problems in the Flat-Cables.

1th look at the Fork light barrier with Runtime-Module.
